FOOD FOUNDERS Studio raises €4m for its next two foodtech ventures
The oversubscribed financing comes from family offices and angel investors whose names were not disclosed.
The studio starts with problems food manufacturers need solved, then looks for relevant scientific technology, secures intellectual property and recruits operators to build a business around it. The financing goes to this operating studio rather than a newly announced investment fund.
Its first venture, SentiaNova, uses patented technology to remove off-flavours from protein ingredients. The studio has recruited a chief executive for that company and is working toward commercial production and a separate venture-level fundraise.
