Duqu raises €1.5m pre-seed for invoice-backed business loans
The Dutch lender advances working capital against unpaid invoices while businesses keep ownership of those invoices and their customer relationships.
Duqu addresses the gap between completing a job and receiving payment. A business uploads an outstanding invoice and connects its bank account, allowing the platform to assess cash flow and the financing request. The invoice stays with the business, and its customer pays the usual account. The advance is a short-term loan that the borrower repays.
Applications are open to Dutch businesses, including freelancers and small firms. Bank-transaction analysis supports a human check, with the cost shown before the borrower accepts an offer. Duqu says it received more than €5m in applications during its first three months. Alongside this lending service, it is making its underwriting technology available to other financial-services providers. Curiosity VC and No Such Ventures co-led the financing.
