Ando launches team messaging with $20m seed funding

The workspace gives AI agents identities, permissions and a place in team conversations, so context can carry from one task to the next.

Ando brings agents into channels, threads and live conversations alongside people. An agent follows the discussions it belongs to and keeps the context needed for subsequent work. Teams can bring external agents into the workspace, making the conversation itself a shared point of coordination across different tools.

Founder Sara Du previously built Alloy Automation, an enterprise API platform. Her new company says its team has worked inside Ando since January, with early users across a dozen countries. The current rollout is aimed at small teams: the website recommends groups of up to 30 people plus their agents, with access through invitations or a waitlist. Accel, Index Ventures and Emergence Capital participated in the seed financing.
