Aligator closes $1.2m seed round co-led by QDB and Next Ventures
The Doha startup is building PR agents around the repetitive work of media coverage, journalist matching and outreach.
Founded by Ali Abbas, Aligator is incorporated in Media City Qatar and licensed by the Qatar Financial Centre. Next Ventures is a fund of Media City Qatar; Qatar Development Bank joins it as a co-lead, alongside a group of unnamed private investors.
The financing announcement describes a broader agent suite under development, extending from press-material preparation and distribution to outreach follow-ups. Its intended users include agencies, corporate communications teams and government communicators, whose operational tasks sit alongside relationship-building and communications decisions.
