SiMa.ai raises $150m Series C for AI that runs inside machines

Fidelity Management & Research and Amplify Partners co-led the round, valuing the processor and software company at $1.45bn.

Robots, drones and industrial equipment often need to interpret sensor inputs without waiting for a distant server. SiMa.ai combines its Modalix processors with Palette software to move trained models onto the device. Developers can optimize and package an application, evaluate it on a kit and then integrate a module, card or chip into their equipment.

The financing takes cumulative funding to $500m. The company is building on its current hardware and development environment while preparing a next generation of silicon for the first half of 2028. That separation matters for equipment makers: today’s deployment options use the Modalix family, while the higher-performance roadmap is intended for future designs.

What the funding supports

  • Scale Palette Neat software
  • Develop next-generation physical AI silicon
  • Expand deployment across drones, robotics and automotive
