Miter raises $40m Series B led by Battery Ventures
Existing investors Bessemer Venture Partners and Coatue participate, bringing the construction software company’s total funding to $78m.
Construction payroll depends on details that generic HR systems can miss: prevailing-wage rules, certified payroll, work across state lines and labor costs assigned to individual jobs. Miter connects these requirements to information collected in the field, so approved hours can feed both payroll and project cost records.
Its AI features parse invoices, receipts and pay tables, turn photos and voice input into safety notes, and help managers follow labor-cost trends while a job is underway. Miter says it serves more than 2,000 contractors and has tripled its customer base since its May 2025 Series A.
